I think that, since most of us have already used all of our 3..9 slots, this would be useless unless they give us Hairdressers.

While we are at it, how about letting us change a number of features. Perhaps as a quest reward, or a gold sink, or whatnot. When Gaile was looking for gold sinks and asked for suggestions about what people wanted in game, someone suggested a way to change their characters features. I liked the idea but it never got implemented. Nothing wrong with a little makeover. I'd love to change the skin tone on my Necro, the hairstyle/color on my Elementalist, etc. I mean, it's been a couple years, can't my Monk get a tan?

So new players dont count?, what a selfish response! And also, i disagree that "most" of us have used all our slots, there is no way to know that. Btw, i keep some slots for pvp chars, which im constantly remaking, and i think many people would welcome their pvp chars to look a little more diverse.
As for, 3D House of Beef, i too think about changing character features, including faces. Its a fantasy world, who cares if its not realistic, i mean we already fight demons and mystical creatures, we are already far from a real world.

I really hope GW:EN brings us some form of hairdresser. Sure face change, skin tone, height etc are more modification option, but at the very LEAST we should have this damned hair stylist thats 2 years over due in this upcoming expansion.

Absolutely. Bring in some new hair styles for each profession, and a hair stylist NPC, and I'll be the happiest girl on GW!!!!

GW:EN is not a new campaing, but an expansion.
Adding something to all the GW.dats just to be used by less than 1% of the people... hm...
Ah... and new faces and hairstyles would be for Canthan and Elonian.
Tyrian already got a face and hair expansion a long time ago.

A hairstylist would be nice.
Barring that, they could add "helmets" that can mimic the hairstyles and colors of your class that also have the appropriate AL and +skill.

Gaile has already gone on record saying that a hairdresser or any feature to change character appearance traits would be too complicated to implement at this time (read: not happening).
This idea kicked up again during the April Fools event where we had Gender Benders. The response was that it was possible to change a trait for all players simultaneously, but not on a per-player basis.
Also, since GW:EN is an expansion, not a chapter, you will not be able to start a new character in GW:EN-based lands. It is level 20-based content, so "new" hairstyles or any appearance feature geared towards that land would not make any sense, nor could you feasibly access it.
You still have to make your character in Prophecies-based Tyria, Factions-based Cantha, or Nightfall-based Elona. So the only feasible way I see us getting new appearance features were if they were "for the players" styled updates like Sorrow's Furnace, not as part of an expansion for level 20 characters.

Even the hair-hats idea?

hair-hat as in like a wig? I'd love that~!
If you can't change the character's actual hair, why not have the head-gear armor made in the shape of a hairstyle? And allow characters to make their desire wig in consistance with their profession?!

Great ideas here all. Yeah it has been discussed before, but like previous posts have stated it has not been implemented and bringing this back to the attention of the devs is a great idea.

I think some of my characters need plastic surgery. They keep hiding their faces under masks.

I'd rather have a plastic surgeon than a hairdresser, as they messed up my rit's face pretty good when they introduced lip syncing with Nightfall. Or a magic surgeon. Whatever. Her hair is just fine... its the open mouthed drooling that gets me down.

New characters dont count. GW:EN is for existing characters who have ascended, to further themselves and find new challenges. It's been repeated like mad in every interview about GW:EN. Don't count on any new hairstyles, skin tones, faces etc. Unless there is a makeover feature implemented.
The only new personal customisation we'll see is new armor skins.
